Archpriest Alexandre Antchoutine recently visited our parish to share several important announcements regarding the leadership and administration of ROC.
Bishop Theodosy of Manhattan has become the new Rector of ROC.
Archpriest Alexandre will serve as the Bishop’s administrator and assist His Grace with the Cathedral’s administration.
Father Yaroslav is leaving the ROC Parish. His last day is Sunday August 30th. He is returning to Moldova for an extended visit with his family.
Father Yaroslav, a cleric of the Moscow Patriarchate, was originally sent to Florida on a temporary two year assignment by Metropolitan Nikolai. He has served here for four years, twice as long as initially planned.
Following his return from Moldova and the completion of the necessary ecclesiastical arrangements, he is expected to be received into ROCOR and assigned to another parish.
Bishop Theodosy will assign a new priest to the ROC in the not too distant future. In the meantime, ROC priestly duties will be fulfilled by a temporary priest(s).
Bishop Theodosy and Father Alexandre will also review the Cathedral’s administrative work and efforts from the past several years. This review will help provide the parish with updates concerning the status of our various projects and administrative matters.
We thank Father Yaroslav for his years of service to our parish and for all that he has contributed during an important period in its life and growth. We wish him safe travels and ask God’s blessing upon him as he begins the next chapter of his priestly service!
